Michael Kolberg, CPA

Since 2010, Michael has been a valuable member of the SKDO team. As a manager, Michael serves small business clients, providing a variety of client accounting services with a particular focus on family-owned restaurants. Specifically, Michael offers payroll, payroll tax, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, business and personal income tax return preparation, and more.

A dependable member of the SKDO team, Michael’s four decades of accounting experience make him a valuable resource. His personal service philosophy is to “get the job done as soon as practical, because you never know what is going to happen tomorrow.” Michael was inspired to pursue a career in the accounting field after taking a class on the subject in high school. He attributes his success to the support and teachings of his parents.

Born and raised in Calumet City, Illinois, Michael currently lives in Kankakee with his wife, Marcie. They have two married children and one grandchild. Michael enjoys Kankakee because it is a small, quiet community located close to both family and the greater Chicago metro area. Outside of the office, he enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his grandchild.
